Creating a U.S. Presence

Prior to engaging Sparkpr, NEC Corporation of America lacked the level of awareness that its parent company NEC enjoyed in Japan. To change this, Sparkpr worked with multiple divisions in the organization, helping to launch products and streamline messaging.

Hardware Products Get The Buzz

Storage devices, servers, digital cinema and virtual PCs are just a few of the product categories for which Sparkpr helped build awareness. Many required multiple communications approaches, as the company often introduced both a product as well as a key hardware component within it. For example, when Sparkpr helped launch HYDRAstor storage, it featured two key components: a revolutionary grid architecture and the product built on top.

Sparkpr developed a two-prong approach to communicating effectively. First, we introduced the HYDRAstor platform to create buzz. More than 30 business and trade press reporters and analysts were targeted to secure coverage. Then, we announced the product, and third-party validation was secured to drive traffic and consumer adoption.
