Woo-hoo! PRWeek, the premiere weekly publication for the public relations industry, named Sparkpr as a Top 5 finalist for Small PR Agency of the Year. We’re honored to be chosen by our peers to be a finalist for this prestigious award.
Funny thing is we don’t consider ourselves a “small PR firm” as we’re now one of the largest independent PR firms in the world. When it comes to understanding consumers and technology, this is what we do!
The Small PR Agency of the Year category is open to any firm whose current annual PR income is from $5 million to $10 million. There are also Boutique (less than $5 million), Midsize ($10M – $65M) and Large ($65M or higher) PR Agency of the Year categories. Out of the top public relations firms who win their respective categories, only one is selected as the overall ‘PR Agency of the Year.’ The winners will be announced at the PRWeek Awards ceremony on March 10, 2011, in New York.
According to PRWeek, there were “hundreds of entries, more than 70 judges and only a select few who made the shortlist.” There are other award categories such as In-House PR Team of the Year, PR Campaign of the Year, Best Use of Social Media in PR, and Technology PR Campaign of the Year.

ABOUT THE PRWEEK AWARDS:
A PRWeek Award is not easy to win, nor should it be. It is the highest accolade in the public relations industry, given each year to the best corporate, nonprofit, agency, and education teams, and the work that they produce. There are only 33 trophies awarded every year, and is a unique symbol of achievement and leadership that immediately sets the winner apart from all others. The judges comprise top professionals from the agency, corporate, nonprofit, education, and government ranks, and are among the most respected people in the industry. These top practitioners come together voluntarily, donating their valuable time to grade campaigns, individuals, and teams.
